There is No Emotion, There is Peace. The First line of the Jedi Code. Some take it to mean that We, as Jedi, set aside all emotion, and do what needs to be done. The truth is far different. Emotion is a natural warning system, as well as an indicator when things are good. As Jedi, we control this system, so that we rule the emotion at need, and the Emotion does not rule us. Consider Love. Love is a great emotion, It allows us to show others our caring for them, It allows us TO care for and be cared for, But Love can also be dangerously misused. Improper use of Love can be Infatuation, Manipulation, Jealousy, and a host of other potential troubles. When an Emotion is overused, used in excess, or used to control someone, then the Emotion is wrong. We as Jedi know not to allow Emotion to go to that extreme. We avoid the extremes of emotion, because we know the danger they pose to ourselves, and to others.At NO time do we allow our emotion to carry us beyond reason. When such times arise, If we can we step away, and regain control of the self. This apoplies not just to Love, but also to Hate, which is VERY MUCH like Love in its intensity and reach. Anger, Fear, Joy, Any emotion can take hold of you and cause you to lose control. But this same thing, Emotion, Is a tool we can use. We can sense, through fear and caution, when something is dangerous. Fear can cause our senses to sharpen and focus to strengthen, but we must not fear be the control over these things. WZE must control the fear. Anger causes much the same as Fear, a sharpening of Focus, but less of a sense of danger, than a sense of what to target. We can use this in defense of ourselves and others, but we must also control it, so that we do not go to far in anger. Take time over the next few days, Consider Emotions, what they are, and suggest Emotions I have NOT listed, How they can be used, And why they are to be controlled. Try to discover dangers to the Emotion, and values as well. Force light your paths.
