There is a Bulgarian team with the name of Ludogrets this time in the Champions League. Ludogrets or Ludogrec, some say it is just a matter of transcription. лудогорец, Latin doesnt have Ц which translates to ts. And as the c translates to a ts, therefore Ludogrets is used. Im still confused, but the official name is Ludogrets anyways. They originate from North-East Bulgaria and their kit is green and white. Ludogrets also made a previous impact in the 2013-2014 Europa League where they lost to Valencia in the Round of 16 and got eliminated. Ludogrets was officially formed in 2001, and it is a huge achievement for a Bulgarian team and Bulgarian football. The slight problem that seems to appear is that it is nominated for the Group B. The Group B consists of Liverpool, FC Basel, and Real Madrid. The other problem for many Bulgarians is that they support Liverpool. On my visit to Sliven, I noticed this, and so many fans are confused as to whom to support. Probably they will switch their allegiance for the Group Stages to Ludogrets, and then support Liverpool if it qualifies ahead. Bulgarians can only hope after hope that Ludogrets would be able to conquer the Bernabeu. However, qualifying for the Champions League is a huge achievement itself and the Bulgarians should be proud.
