There is a definite difference between the liberal and conservative brain. Why this should surprise anyone, is anyones guess. That certain people gravitate toward one ideology rather than the other, would suggest cognitive differences. Liberals do indeed have greater empathy, Conservatives are less open to change or new ideas, and such. Just look at those that are largely Liberal. I have never encountered one artist, writer, poet, animal-rights advocate, or nature lover that was a die hard conservative. There is a negativity bias in the Conservative brain, it is hypothesized, that is not as pronounced in the Liberal brain. As someone that has been called negative, as someone that had someone tell me a higher evolved person is positive, as I was told this by a man that is as Conservative as it gets, I am laughing my ass off, as outside my stance on Israel, and the 2nd amendment, I am as Liberal as it gets. Yes, telling me you are of higher evolved stock is so positive.
