There is a disturbing trend for a lot of email spammers to spoof the FROM portion of email to get it past spam filters put up by email providers. Below is an example of what Im seeing. From: Amazing Credit Scores [Edit Address Book] To: [email protected] Subject: Transunion, Equifax, Experian Credit Reports And Date: May 5, 2014 7:25 AM Below is the actual email header of this email. I am not going to put the content of the email here. As you can see the actual web address this was received from was --->Received: from tion.sessiontour.net. If you were to go to the FROM site from any one of these spoofed spam mails you would arrive at an identical web page regardless of the web address (I know this because I tried). My belief is that any email sent in this manner is a fraud and doesnt deserve your time of day, and could potentially link to a virus. I highly recommend not clicking on the link in any of these emails, and if the email comes with an attachment dont open it. Instead delete it immediately.
