There is a fool-proof way of knowing the order of seniority among the three great Greek philosophers: Aristotle, Plato and Socrates. Actually I know of two interesting ways. What are they? You dont even need to know anything about them or classical history, but with this or these, you will never forget who came before the other. Here we go. The secret is in the first letter of their names. You can arrange them in different ways (SAP, PAS, ASP, APS, etc), but the ONLY way that shows their correct order of birth is SPA. Imagine these three great minds, after an exhaustive day of thinking and writing, chilling out in a spa to rejuvenate. If that picture does not appeal to you, then think of Athens, which is the capital of Greece. Next, ask yourself: What marks these three men out? Their intelligence. There is no doubt about that. So in other words, they were extremaly smart. Then just call them the Smart People of Athens: SPA! Finito! Socrates taught Plato; Plato taught Aristotle. If you want to stretch it further, just remember that Aristotle taught Alexander the Great: A in philosophy taught A in leadership. Now can you ever forget this? - Azuka Onwuka
