There is a fundamental dichotomy within this concept we call the holidays... On the surface its supposed to be about giving and family and on the other, it brings forth great anguish over lack of funds to pay bills or purchase that trophy present that will surely impress anyone... Therefore, I offer this set of scriptures for the believers of the true God, written in Psalms 83:18. If you dont believe in God and think Im a quack, hey, thats fine too, you may still glean wisdom from its passages... Luke 12:22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Luke 12:27 Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
