There is a good story behind this song, FIRE. I wrote it with Ian Siegal in London back in 2008: it’s been our FIRST recorded collaboration!. It’s inspired by a poem of Langston Hughes, the leader of the so-called “Harlem Renaissance” and a father of “jazz poetry”. I discovered the lyrics on a used book bought at a blues festival in Italy, and I’ve been amazed in a sudden by the power of these words. Primoz Grasic translated this power into this wonderful and rich orchestral arrangement.
