There is a great deal I dislike about President Obama, primarily because he has allowed so many of the most despicable legacies of the Bush regime -- the corporate welfare corruption, the bankster concessions, the unwarranted surveillance, the torture crimes and the mass murdering wars of occupation -- to essentially continue unchallenged. None the less, to have a smart, dignified, articulate and capable leader in the presidency continues to be a stark and refreshing contrast to the arrogant, narcissistic, banal frat boy bumbling of George W. Bush. That this man can still be self effacing, can still poke a little fun at himself, despite the endless sea of toxic vitriolic sludge thats been disrespectfully dumped on the office of the President by all the rabidly radical hate mongering repugnant-cons, displays a level of poise that one can only admire in awe.
