There is a little girl screaming her head off in my shop. Normally I have to just suck it up and consider it part of doing business. However, today the mother of the little girl says to me, Do you have any tricks on getting her to shut up? So I say, Let me give it a try. I find the little girl in a jumper and call her over to me. I explain that I am the owner of the shop and that we have a one scream limit at The Wild. So I tell her to give me a really good scream because this would have to be the last one. The little girl asks, what if I forget and keep screaming. So I tell her, Well honey, you would have to get off the toys and your mom would have to take you home. Only one scream...ok? The little girl fills her lungs and lets out one hell of a scream. She then happily goes about playing and low and behold it works. No more screams from the little girl. As they are getting ready to leave mom comes up and thanks me for getting her little girl to stop screaming. The little girl overhears this and says, No toys for you mommy, youre a screamer. I would love to tell you I contained my laughter...sadly, I did not. I am pretty sure that little girl didnt mean it in the context mom and I took it, but that woman went 5 shades of red and left my store like it was on fire.
