There is a lot going on for me today, much of it is very sad and difficult to process. However, here is a random grab bad of some things that I know and have been meditating on this week: 1. In the end, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is the rightful ruler of heaven and earth. There is no church drama that can rob Jesus of his glory. 2. The stuff happening in Iraq and Gazaxzx right now serve as a reminder of just how much blessing and protection we enjoy as a nation. It is truly heartbreaking to read the report of my Christian brothers and sisters being put to death in Iraq, especially as there are Iraqi members at my church who still have family in there. 3. Sometimes, when we Christians talk about Jesus returning in judgement, we focus only on the recompense aspect. But we sometimes forget that when God judges the world through Jesus, he will sort out every mess and put everything to rights. Only Jesus has the wisdom and the comprehensive information to do so. Come soon, Lord Jesus. 4. Gods job is results (fruit). My job is faithfulness, love, and endurance in the midst of a broken world. Bad things happen in my heart and in the lives of others when I forget this simple truth. 5. Even though Christians can sometimes be the worst (especially on the internet), my phone has blown up today...with love and encouragements. People from Alaska, Tacoma, Shoreline and other random places around the world all reaching out to say the love me and are praying for me. I cannot imagine living life without Jesus and his people.
