There is a lot of finger pointing at Malaysia right now about the missing aircraft MH370 What we know today. 2 people on stolen passports (possibly 4) Passports stolen from tourists visiting Thailand last year Tickets purchased from a Travel Agency in Pattaya Thailand If they were traveling from Bangkok to Beijing via Kuala Lumpur they would only be in transit in Malaysia. So the Malaysian authorities (Immigration & Customs) dont check documents of people in transit. They would go through security and x-ray machine and a security guard would see the passport you were holding matched the photo and name on the boarding card. Thailand is where they boarded the International Aircraft and thats where they went through Customs and Immigration and Thailand should have flagged it.
