There is a major situation in Lawrence County. The Shelter that we pulled many from, is still having people drop off animals, Then there is a rescue, that is over crowded with others that are being dropped off. The County has a contract with Morgan County Animal Shelter for the month of July. People are not dropping them off there, but they continue to be taken to two locations. They are onlt trickling into the shelter that closed, but the rescue is bursting at the seems. The new shelter in Lawrence County will not open until August 1st, and that is if contract is awarded. PLEASE help us network these dogs. This has gotten out of control. Our local rescues in North Alabama are full. 81 originally pulled form the shelter closing, and they continue to come into both the shelter and the rescue.
