There is a man near Stoney Ridge OH east of Toledo who has devoted his life to rescuing and rehabbing exotic animals. He has passed inspections, the animals are well cared for, vetted, and fed. He is Federally licensed I have read. Now the STATE wants its share of permit fees for his seven OLD animals, which according to the Toledo Blade paper include two tigers, a bear, a Liger, and some wolves, or they are going to seize them. WTH??? Can nothing be done to save these poor rescued animals? My fear is that they wont be rehomed, but destroyed. And the man who cares enough to save these abused unwanted creatures...what of his life? Few people would take on such a lifes commitment. I dont know if anything can be done, but I am appalled that the state has such ability.
