There is a narrative in the Bible that describes a woman who sends a servant to Jesus. Her brother is dying. When Jesus arrives at the house the brother is dead. Even though people petitioned Jesus for his life, he died. Jesus knew exactly what he was doing. The man was raised to life for the glory of Jesus. Sometimes in life, we petition Jesus for something which seems to have the opposite effect. Jesus arrives is the important part in the life of a Christian. Whether or not he cures sickness, stops death from occurring, or answers my immediate need for prayer, the most important thing about Jesus in my life is that he arrives.
