There is a new Facebook page that has quite the following after only being in existence for a little more than a week. It is called Deadbeat Kenya and publicly shames parents who arent taking care of their responsibilities in regard to their children. Face2Face Africa reports: Any parent who feels that their childs mother or father isnt taking care of their responsibilities can post their name, photograph, phone number, and dispute on Deadbeat Kenya for others to see. And contrary to what some may think, creator Jackson Njeru says that he doesnt post every complaint that comes his way. Instead, there is a process. We first call the person who is accusing, then we call the accused. From there if the person is not willing to take care of his or her own responsibility, thats when we approve the post. The page reportedly has more than 150,000 members and more than 60,000 links. Njeru says he came up with the page because many in Kenya want to report deadbeat parents but cant because they cant afford lawyers. Still, one of the accused Dads complained, [Deadbeat Kenya] is just a forum that is made to destroy relationships and put people on the line. What do you think?
