There is a new push in Washington, D.C. to move the gun control - TopicsExpress

There is a new push in Washington, D.C. to move the gun control agenda forward and some parents from the Newtown, CT tragedy are there helping to lobby for gun control. Not all of those parents feel that way and we will hear from folks in Newtown, CT on Friday, June 14th at the 1st Annual Safe Schools Summit. The Calhoun County Safe Schools Alliance is trying to promote school safety the right way. Instead of blaming inanimate objects for our ills, the CCSSA is focused on raising money at the local level without dependence on any government agency. If our gun rights are being attacked we show up en masse. Supporting this cause is a great way to demonstrate clearly how much we care and still protect our Second Amendment freedoms. Lt. Col. Dave Grossman is a phenomenal speaker and a seminar of this caliber would normally cost $250 and you have the opportunity to see him for only $25 at W.K. Kellogg Auditorium on Friday, June 14th, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. To obtain tickets, visit bccfoundation.org and purchase your tickets. I hope to see you all there as it will be a great time!!
