There is a perception among many in editorial world that black & white photography is old fashioned, no longer relevant. This is simply not true. If it were, B&W would have diappeared before I ever picked up a camera, and yet B&W endures. Every day younger photographers gravitate toward B&W for its power & ability to express subtlety. Many magazines will not even consider black & white stories. That makes as much sense as the numerous photo galleries that will not open their door to digital photography. It impoverishes the medium to install such arbitrary barriers.
