There is a place for optimism. Life feels better, goes smoother - TopicsExpress

There is a place for optimism. Life feels better, goes smoother and more opportunities are chased under the influence of optimism, leading to both more successes and more of the lessons of failure. But is it always the correct outlook or response to the world...? Generally yes, but in Politics, absolutely not. In Politics a healthy dose of realism is far more useful than any amount of rose-tinted blind faith. To start with, the system itself is riddled with in-built weaknesses from top to bottom. Politicians work second jobs, often just by turning up and undermining their primary job, Whips try their best to pervert justice by trying to enforce the Party-line, regardless of an individual MPs conscience, and someone called the Remembrancer sits in on proceedings to ensure Business doesnt suffer from any decisions made. It does not need mentioning that there is no such position for someone to protect the interests of the people, or the poor, or the vulnerable, just wealthy business interests. As far as Im aware no CEOs or Bankers have died through neglect in this Parliament, so the Remembrancers earning his keep. Its a pity that this is not the case across the board for all such vulnerable, disadvantaged groups. We need a way to keep the worst excesses off the statute book. One way is getting a power of Veto at the very least. Go to theclickrevolution.co.uk/ to find out more and sign up to demand more power from the Government.
