There is a powerful connection between black and Latino/Hispanic people that ought to be celebrated more. Many of our experience, cultures, and heritage are so tightly woven that we often dont pause for a moment to reflect on how beautiful they are. There is a silent method of communication/code that is used between us that is closed off to the rest of the world. It is something that is instilled within us...almost like a supernatural connection that enables us to convey deeply rooted feelings without words. Something as simple as a head nod can convey everything that were thinking and you totally understand and get it. Today I shared a beautiful moment with a hispanic guy at my job. He made a facial gesture and I immediately knew exactly what he meant and how he felt....I know because I feel the same way. Its never easy being the only one of your race/culture working with a predominately white staff and Chinese student body. Today I felt like I had a therapy session. It was good for my soul and my spirit! #ReNewed
