There is a problem trying to get an authentic airport scene in X-Plane10 if it is a small unknown airport in a desolated region. What comes into view are the runways. Courchevel Airport is a French airport that serves Courchevel, which is located in a ski area in the French Alps mountains. The airport has a very short runway of only 525 m with gradient of 18.5%. The runway is built on a ramp. There is no go-around procedure for this airport ! and There are no instrument approach procedures. So, I have to navigate the Cessna C 340 II twin-engine by my self using navigation help from2 iPad apps: 1 AirTrack 2 X-Mapper Pro The big problem was at what flight level I will get visibility of the runway. Over 7500ft I saw fog only, so navigating down to the approach level was very risky.
