There is a reason some people succeed... and some people dont. It has very little to do with intelligence. It has very little to do with talent or natural ability. And it has absolutely nothing to do with longevity of experience. Success has to do with flat out out-working everyone else. I used to think it was this younger, entitlement-driven, spoiled generation that doesnt understand work ethic... but the reality is that this laziness and complacency has been going on for generations. It gets worse with every generation, but it has always been there. And the reason is that people want something for nothing. They want 6-pack abs, but they want to eat fast food everyday. They want people to respect them, but they dont treat others with respect. They want a great relationship, but they dont have the guts to set boundaries. They want to be CEO, but they want someone else to do the hard work. Essentially, they want something for nothing. I have found that success can be achieved by working smart as opposed to hard, but it takes A LOT of hard work to discover how to work smart. Long story short, if you want to enjoy the fruits of success, youve got to put in the work.
