There is a reason why God sees you in absolute poverty and he is fully aware of how bankrupt youre, but he still commands you to tithe. There is a reason why you know that you got limited love to love others, but God still tells you to share your little love with other people, including your enemies. There is a reason why God knows you have so little left with you, but God still commands you to share the little you have with others. There is a reason why God commanded that widow to share a handful of flour and a drop of oil with Elijah, even when God knows that surely a handful of flour and a drop of olive oil was not even enough for the widow herself and her son. And its really hard to obey God when youre in such a difficult situation, but God is God and we must obey him nomatter what we are going through, because he is more than able to supply all that we need. Now what does the statement The bowl will not run out of flour or the jar will not run out of oil before the day that I the LORD, send rain, mean? And what did the widows OBEDIENCE mean?
