There is a relationship between radioactive isotopes and biological threats on mutating bacterias and viruses... not only that their natural habitat and primary host became inexistent, they are exposed to radiation much greater than the sun. If humans manage to survive radiation, so can these pathogens. A hypothesis for a very complex query: what is Radiation and its effects on cell mutations for Prokaryotes.
