There is a scam going on where someone is calling from (509) 477-9963 claiming to be the IRS and threatening to put people in jail because of failing to file taxes. If you receive this call, please do not make any arrangements to pay these people. The IRS will always send you a certified letter and they do not threaten to put you in jail.. Please report these people to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at (800) 366-4484. I had a relative call me scared, despite filing their taxes every year, and I went online I found out that this is the newest scam.
