There is a scary trend on Facebook that I call Arm Chair Facebook Vetting! What is that you ask? A person comes on a page and says many things that make my hair stand up, for example:........I found a bleeding dog that looks like their eye is falling out but I have no idea what to do? ..Does anyone have an Oxygen Bag my dog is not breathing....hey I think one of my dogs puppies is stuck, what do I do?.....My dog is pooping blood, my dog is loosing hair...and on and on and on and on....I also get e-mails asking me what to do as well as PMs.. Many get angry because my answer is always the same...Get off Facebook and call your Vet! 1st of all, unless you are licensed to perform medical procedures or have been taught basic procedures by an actual Veterinarian i.e Sub-Q Fluids (after the animal was actually seen by a Vet and this was a recommendation) giving booster shots, etc.. .Do not do it...Do not ask me how to do it over the internet...Just because I have had a Mange Puppy does not make me an expert of treating Mange...Get the picture? We can all read...however there is a place for everything...Facebook has many great ideas by some very smart folks...Many of you on this page are Doctors and Veterinarians...but even then I take what you say and store it, but I will still pack up my kid and go to the vet....Oh Angela you are so mean, we are trying to rescue this dog but we do not have the money to treat it...Easy fix, walk the hell away and let someone that has the funds take care of the dog properly! I do not go into a Mercedes Dealership and whine about not being able to buy the car...I simply stay away...so if the dog you think you need to pull is out of your realm of expertise or affordability...walk away....save one that is in less dire need and a little cheaper to fix...A Life saved is a Life saved...know your limits and work within them! Management!
