There is a site called warmshowers that I have recently joined and I have posted my first topic. However, this topic is relevant to all my cycling aware friends. Hi, My name is Raven Stands Alone and I am riding for Diabetes and the Tour de Cure and also for Mutiple Sclerosis awareness through the MS-150 rides. I am using the southern route this first part of the ride going from Jacksonville, Florida to Long Beach, California initially. Leaving New Orleans and heading for Houma, Louisiana in the a.m. of August 7th, 2014 Forward from there to Morgan City, Lafayette generally following US90 and Interstate 10 on towards Texas. Whether or not there are any warmshower accomodations along this part of the route I would love for anyone to come out and ride a few miles in your town or area with me. Come out and join me and the thousands of other bicyclists who ride each year to support research into illesses that are so devastating! Raven The ultilmate ride is starting now. Complete circumnavigation of the Lower 48 with a side jaunt to Alaska now and then. This is the Never Ending Ride When I get back to Jacksonville it will be to re-gear and do it again and again until this 66 year old with an artificial hip and a titanium femur cant go any further...
