There is a strain of psychiatry in Nigeria, it is harder to deal - TopicsExpress

There is a strain of psychiatry in Nigeria, it is harder to deal with compared with what you have anywhere, elsewhere Like everything else, the hardest and toughest kinds of stuffs happen to Nigeria For example, the strain of the ebola virus imported into Nigeria was one of a kind And pause for a second, talking about importation, isnt it symbolic and jocular that a largely import-specific economy had a virus in, some way?! Anyway, you would think psychiatric doctors would be the wealthiest Nigerians, given the embarrassment of numbers of patients available and on offer! May be, the NMA should lobby the National Assembly to help her pass a bill, that would compel everyone to submit for a psychiatric check-up Or, how else do you explain this?; A fine gentleman, a fairly well known professional, wrote on his own facebook wall, that he has enjoyed 22-hour a day electricity supply from the National grid for a period of about 4 days... ....and at about the hour mark of posting this observation, he has had tens and tons of weighty abusive comments accusing him of playing politics and being economical with reality Political and economical with the truth? Ha! What truth? Do they even know him? Or know where he lives? The electricity supply in his neighbourhood? What if someone had come up with a post, saying he hasnt had a downtime ever in the past decade with his self-generated electricity supply? Wed say hes Bragadocious? Or showing off? Does it matter? After all, facebook says, Whats on your mind? [The budget department of UN only recently approved $50mn for ebola containment in West Africa....were it possible for the UN to intervene in containing psychiatry in Nigeria, she would go bankrupt!]
