There is a sweet trio of children who live up the street from me who come to play with Chloe and Garret. The oldest is an 11/12-year-old boy and Ive never really understood why he wants to come because Chloe only has toys appropriate for a five-year-old girl and Garret is too cool for school. He came over this morning after his siblings showed up. After about 30 minutes he asked me if he could leave. I explained that he is welcome to leave because he isnt required to be here. After a little conversation back-and-forth I realized that hes not allowed to go home unless he plans to stay. In other words, if this boy is playing outside in the snow (or summer heat, which explains his presence this past summer) which is fun for 11-year-old boy, hes not allowed to go inside to get warm and then go back outside. Hes stuck in for the day.
