There is a thorny weed in the yard that bears nothing but it is - TopicsExpress

There is a thorny weed in the yard that bears nothing but it is really an excellent grower. Whenever the end of the stem touches the ground it grows roots so that the stem is rooted at both ends. You never saw a grape vine that bore edible fruit do that all by itself! Or poison ivy; you can cut a piece of poison ivy vine and just let it lay on soil and it will grow roots into the soil every place it touches. Did we ever see anything we can eat be that hardy and easy to grow? There is a reason for all of that. God wants to remind us that our two earliest ancestors had a serious attention deficit when it came to listening to God that we should not duplicate because they wound up out of paradise and into a field of really vigorous and persistent weeds that we are still in. Note what is written in the Holy Bible, “And to Adam he said, Because you have hearkened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it: cursed is the ground for your sake; in sorrow shall you eat of it all the days of your life; 18 thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to you; and you shall eat the herb of the field; 19 in the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, till you return to the ground; for out of it were you taken: for dust you are, and to dust shall you return.” (Genesis 3:17-19) So weeds and briars grow great and unassisted and the food grows by hard careful work, if at all just to remind all of us to read and obey the Holy Bible every day. If you doubt…notice that weeds are still doing today exactly what the first book in the Holy Bible said that God said they would do.
