There is a very intense effort on the part of St. Lois city and county public officials, as well as Missouri politicians (including Claire McCaskill) to demonstrate to their constituents that they are white enough in the context of the Murder of Mike Brown. There is also an obvious movement underway to demean and discredit the citizens of Ferguson who are putting their lives on the line in the face of police brutality to protest that murder. This BS has been supported by many in the media. I wonder if this cop realizes just how difficult he has just made it to continue the facade of protecting the community of Ferguson while attempting to destroy it. He made obvious to the world just how ugly the worst of St Louis hegemony is. And, he has given strength to those who peacefully resist their effort to force them back into their place in St Louis society.
