There is a world wherein those who gain do not do so at the cost of someone else. There is a world wherein rising does not mean stepping on others. There is a world wherein the higher you go the more responsibility you have. This world is not one of perfection. It is also not one free of conflict. Nor is it a well known world. But those who live in this world know it well. Love it much and strive to be better. What world is this? The world of the SCA. My gains do not cost anyone else a single thing. My rising simply means that the rising tide will float all boats. My having risen higher on that tide means that I have a responsibility to share what I know and what skills I have. The SCA where having a piece of the pie, only makes the pie bigger.
