There is an alarmist message that has been circulating among our peers through the social networks which reads BREAKING NEWS: Catholic Church is taking SDA General Conference to court over the worldwide circulation of the book Great Controversy. The church has launched this project-to circulate around the world, with some picture aids about the work of the papacy as pagan. The Catholics are not happy with it. 6 out of 9 supreme court judges in the U. S. are Catholics. We have to PRAY. Prophecy is being fulfilled. Send this to all SDA people you know. The credibility of this message leaves a lot to be desired. So what about this sensational message? Is the question that readily comes into an enquiring mind. Trouble is greater in anticipation than in reality but not so with the time of trouble just before us. Lets prepare ourselves by having Christlike characters and we will be safe in the most troublous times unimaginable to humans. Lets not falsely alarm people with sensational, fabricated ecstatic news. Its a pity that people are astonished by rumours of this kind and are easily agitated. There is only one thing under the sun that must surprise a well-meaning Christian that is when the pope [being the devil incarnate] repents and accept Christ as Lord and Saviour. Of which that will never happen. Those who are spreading such rumours must not bring the time of trouble before the people when it has not yet come. This is not the message that we must bear before our churches. Lets desist and shun from this practice and stop posting and spreading such sensational hearsay to individuals and in our groups. This message was circulated and received last year but one. And we wonder about its truthfulness. It is a fact that the leaders of the papacy express vitriolic hatred over the remnant church and we must not be surprised at any efforts they might employ to anhilate us because Christ is our Shelter in the time of storm. Alarming messages that are just meant to startle people must be shunned. People need Christ in their hearts who is the sin pardoning Saviour and they will stand before any giant. We therefore demand to be given a credible source of that information so that we might reference whether it is a newspaper or tv news and name the station. We dont prepare for the time of trouble by being intimidated, we prepare because we fear the Lord and we have Christ as our Saviour. Gods people must not be mesmerised with such cooked stories. Whatever the Jesuits are planning through their diabolic councils must not even move a child of God because He who is on our side is greater than he who is on their side. We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus. Christ bids us not to fear!
