There is an ancient Black history in Pakistan. But there are also Black people in Pakistan today, I mean right now. And these are Black people, or Africans if you like, who were taken from Africa as the result of enslavement and within the last thousand years or so. They are called Sheedis, and number perhaps 250,000 people and possibly more. They live primarily in the districts of Southern Balochistan and Lower Sindh. Similar groups of Black people live in India and are known as Siddis and Habshis. Let me show you a few photos of them.
