There is an important feature about Flipkart and Amazon India which I think most people dont know. Unlike big stores like big bazaar, crossword, etc. or even the neighbourhood mom and pop store, Flipkart/Amazon are not themselves sellers but are merely INTERMEDIARIES! Of most, if not all products they sell! This is not clear to most people unless they read a little more carefully. So if you buy a mobile or book or garment or whatever from them, you are really buying from some falana/dhimka dealer/affiliate whom you dont even know. And whom you are yourself supposed to check out before buying. Because, if you are not satisfied, you will know only at that time that you have to fight it out with that dealer!! Just like ebay actually! To be fair, Flipkart/Amazon, though a broker, does play role of honest broker. I strongly suspect (I could still be wrong) this is because of ban on FDI in retail in India. Whereby Amazon/Flipkart, etc. cannot be e-retail stores themselves. But that is different subject. :) #JanHitMeinJaari :)
