There is an increasing body of scientific research to show that we have only just begun to understand the qualities of water. It seems that water, although it looks ‘plain’ to us, is one of the most complex substances in existence. Just take a look at the amazing water crystal photographs that the Japanese scientist Masaru Emoto has taken of different sources of water (book by Masaru Emoto: The Hidden Messages in Water. Since most of our body consists of water, understanding its structure and functions can help us understand more about ourselves. Water molecules know how to assemble and reassemble themselves in various types of clusters, including five-sided shapes known as pentameters, with a speed of millions of times each second. This mutability implies that water may have an enormous capacity for storing information, greater than a giant computer.
