There is an interesting part of the US constitution that not too - TopicsExpress

There is an interesting part of the US constitution that not too many ppl know about or talk about: the Preamble to the Bill of Rights. One could almost surmise that it is purposefully being suppressed. But the preamble makes it very clear that the Ten Amendments SUPERCEDE (amend) the rest of the constitution and all other law. So lets dive right in, shall we? First paragraph: THE Conventions of a number of the States, having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added: And as extending the ground of public confidence in the Government, will best ensure the beneficent ends of its institution. So clearly the framers were concerned about abuse of power. There is some meaning to the word declaratory. It declares that which already exists, namely natural law. But the real key word here is RESTRICTIVE. It restricts that which the government can do. It doesnt say the government sometimes can and sometimes cant do something. The restrictions are not put into a box where they only apply in certain circumstances, for example only on on US soil or only apply to US citizens. The Preamble makes it clear: these restrictions are ABSOLUTE. Now that the Preamble has been more-or-less dropped and suppressed, the very foundation of the Bill of Rights has been dissipated. And lo and behold we see the formation of a most un-beneficent government, abusing its power all around the globe, dragging the reputation of the United States in the mud in the eyes of the world public. Second paragraph: RESOLVED by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled, two thirds of both Houses concurring, that the following Articles be proposed to the Legislatures of the several States, as amendments to the Constitution of the United States, all, or any of which Articles, when ratified by three fourths of the said Legislatures, to be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of the said Constitution; viz. Key phrase: valid to all intents and purposes. So we cant forget it just because of or communism, 9/11, or terrorism, or ebola, or Al Qaida, or ISIS, or whatever the current scare du jour is. The preamble makes it CRYSTAL CLEAR: the framers would be rolling in their graves if they knew about the torture, indefinite detention, Gitmo, extraordinary rendition, Black Sites, the Patriot Act, the NSA abuse, and all the rest. Sheesh. #usa #constitution #government #billofrights #framers #naturalrights #abuse #humanrights #torture #nsa #gitmo #extraordinaryrendition blog.tenthamendmentcenter/2014/10/the-bill-of-rights-has-a-preamble-even-if-the-senate-and-the-heritage-foundation-omit-it/
