There is an interesting secret Facebook group call PA Politics. I am posting a long thread because it features so much interaction with the criminal, Calvin Walker. Enjoy. The Calvin Walker Story The Biggest Propaganda Machine in Jefferson County/Double Jeopardy Lets take a trip to the past when Mr. Walker first accepted the plea deal around Dec. 13 2012. The 37 criminal charges were dropped and Calvin was ordered to pay back taxes. The DA (Tom Maness) was asked if they plan on pursuing a case against Walker and according to the Beaumont Enterprise Maness stated the Jefferson County DA has no plans to pursue case against Walker presently. And he also stated that it is RARE for the state to take a case already bought by a Federal court. Mr. Walker thinks everything is all fine and try to continue his life as any normal citizen would do. Now, TWO years past. You have corruption running wild in Jefferson County. You have racial allegations against Judge Layne Walker, you have the Hartman situation where lies were caught on a pen camera, the procurement card issue, issues with B.I.S.D., violations of Port Arthurs travel policy, and I cant forget about the P.A.Housing Authority. Lo and behold, the creation of the Jefferson County Task Force! I believe everybody(except the crooks) was happy for the new task force and thought great things was going to come from it. After all of the expectations of what the task force was going to do, everybody seem to be questionable when it was reported they were going after Calvin Walker, again. People either believed, something must be wrong because the task force is after him or felt the charges must be double jeopardy. Since there was NOTHING to convict Walker on, the Feds was banking on the factual basis to ruin his reputation and to say he admitted wrong doing. When that didnt work, the county wrapped him in the biggest propaganda move the county has ever seen, the Jefferson County Task Force. But one problem, the task force has produced NOTHING since its creation. Their only main target was to go after Walker?? You have easier cases which clearly shows corruption versus Walkers case. Like I said before. You have the Hartman case which has video and clearly shows corruption, they have the P-card info with the city of Port Arthur, they have the travel policy with the City of Port Arthur. The PA Housing Authority. They have these easier cases where the work has been done for them. They have documentation, the policy, and violations pointed out to those policies. Those are easy kills where the Task Force could have used for momentum. No! They jump straight to Walkers cases and has NOT produced anything! His situation was suppose to be resolved. Tom Maness said he was NOT going to go after Walker again. All of a sudden we get Cory Crenshaw out of nowhere to come down and indict Walker on double jeopardy. With these few documents we see: 1. The Jefferson County DA lied when they stated they were not going after Calvin Walker...or Corey Crenshaw was sent down here to personally go after Walker when Maness refused. 2. They may have violated some legal issues concerning Double Jeopardy when John Malcolm Bales(The First DA went against Walker) state, You should not refer to any Walker case that is generated from the DAs office as part of the work of the Joint Task Force and Cory Crenshaw specifically states the case (on Walker) resulted from the joint task Force investigation started in March 2014. 3. This is the kicker, the Jefferson County Task Force was first announced on March 5, 2014 and they are talking about indicting Calvin Walker on April 22, 2014?????? Hold on! That means the Jefferson County Task Force was created for Calvin Walker! Dont get mad at me, look at the documents, look at the time frame! What has the task force done since indicting Walker??? Its taking them at least six months to respond (if they do) on the complaints refereed to them about the City of Port Arthurs travel policy. Thats why the Jeff Co Task Force is nothing but a high profile propaganda machine to garner popular support for the prosecution of Calvin Walker and to slander his business name. Look at the documents! Task force announced March 5 and joint task force and the U.S. DA is talking about prosecuting Walker.
