There is an old story about a crazy man fishing in a bathtub, a doctor sees the man doing this and thinking he needs psychiatric treatment asks are they biting? to which the man quickly responds of course not!, you fool, since this is a bathtub. I think this story speaks to the inevitable gap between how the world is and how we perceive or understand the world, the question is how and with what do you fill that gap?
