There is an out of control fire in Warrimoo, just down the hill from my place. There is a Watch and Act warning for the lower mountains. The warning from the RFS to people in the Warrimoo/Blaxland area has been to enact your fire plan or leave the area immediately. The fire season has begun early again on a very hot, dry and windy afternoon. All of the expert analysis by climate scientists says that conditions like these will become more frequent and more extreme due to human-induced climate change. This week, China and the U.S have agreed to a new deal to reduce their emissions. Meanwhile, our Prime Minister persists with his ignorant, pig headed approach on climate change.
