There is another world. Science tells us there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the universe. A galaxy is full of stars: our sun is just one of at least one thousand million stars in our own Milky Way galaxy, and each of those stars could have their own planetary system. In our solar system, Earth is the third planet from the sun. But none of this relates to the kind of world to which I am referring. We’ve also heard the statement, “They’re living in their own little world,” describing someone’s mental or introspective reality—someone who is daydreaming or lost in deep thought or concentration. The world I am speaking of is different from all that. It is real, but it is not located in space and does not have any physical attributes like size or weight. It is a dimension that exists within us, a consciousness, but it is not accessed through the normal reasoning and workings of the mind. That mindset has been trained from birth to relate us to the material world we presently understand. That is the only world we know. Or is it? We actually touch a higher dimension quite regularly. It’s something that bubbles up from within us. We experience it as sudden, dramatic-breakthrough-type, deep feelings that open up within us. You have had these deep feelings before in the simplest moments. It can be triggered by viewing a beautiful sunset, listening to moving music, being in love, or even having a religious conversion.
