There is eternal anguish and suffering after death for those whose sins are not forgiven. Hell is described in terms of darkness,weeping and gnashing of teeth and also eternal fire. Jesus said that the suffering of Hell was not prepared for mankind,but for Satan and those angels who rebelled with him (Matt 25:41). Unfortunately,since the garden of Eden,human beings have participated in Satans rebellion against God. Human beings will share in Satans punishment unless they repent and receive forgiveness for their sins through trusting in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross for their sons (John 8:24). Our God is a holly and just judge. He will not tolerate sin. It is for this reason that rebelliousangels and men must be punished for their sin. It is also for this reason that Jesus came and gave His life on the cross to pay the death penalty for mans sin,so that men could be saved from that anguish and suffering. But it is not enough just to know that He died and rose again. Men and women must REPENT of their SIN and personally believe in Jesus Christ as their LORD and SAVIOR by receiving Him into their lives (John 1:12). Only this way will they find forgiveness and be saved from Gods judgement on sin. For those who will not repent of their sin and receive Christ and His forgiveness,there is the reality of hell. That reality should never be taken for vranted but move Christians to urgency in spreading the gospel of foegiveness of sin through Jesus Christ.
