There is news doing rounds that a party member, Nutan Thakur, has resigned from the party over the Sting operation controversy. Here are some facts about the issue: a) Nutan Thakur was never an office bearer at any level within the party. She was a simple member which anyone can become after paying the membership fee of Rs. 10/- b) Provided that Nutan was not an office bearer, she cannot resign from any post. All she can do is to request the party to cancel her membership by visiting the nearest party office or writing a mail at c) Her PILs were her personal effort with no direction or communication from side of the party or its leadership. We hope that media channels stop making an issue out of a member deciding to withdraw his/her membership from the party.
