There is no difference between ebola and some of our leaders in Nigeria.Figures brought out by the IMF sometime ago suggest that our leaders have squandered, siphoned or stolen Trillions of dollars from the Nigerian Treasury in the past decades. For me it is simply wickedness of the highest order, to defraud your country for your own personal gain. I mean, it is not as if leaders of other successful countries are not corrupt but I have not heard of one where a leader stole 1Billion or more dollars and stashed away in Swiss accounts. They would not even dream of doing something like that, but our Leaders! Our leaders have single-handedly, in my opinion, ruined our nation. Is that not wickedness? What else can it be? One past leader is reported to have stolen close to $6 billion. Another is reported to have made $12 billion Gulf war windfall disappear (maybe it was just rumor, who knows?). Money has been budgeted over the years for various projects that would benefit Nigerians but it always goes unaccounted for and the projects remain untouched. That is why we have no meaningful infrastructure in our country. Lagos-Benin road is a constant nightmare for those traveling it, people die there every day, yet our leaders are not bothered. Money allocated for this is probably cooling off in somebodys account. You see, there is no sense of concern for the well-being of the citizenry! ‘So people are dying because of bad infrastructure, and so what? Let them die! They are even too many! What a shame! This wickedness is also the reason why our embassies, our representatives abroad, treat us like dirt, because the orientation they have from their masters is that we, the citizens, are not important. We do not deserve to be treated like human beings.
