There is no disgrace in honest failure there is only disgrace in fearing to fail. Late yesterday evening I had to make the decision to postpone the hellsgate grandprix due to losing over 2/3rds of our drivers to the excessive damage to their cars caused by the ultra4 glen Helen Grand Prix on sat. The rest of our events will continue as scheduled including RallyVenture. While it disappoints me that we had to pull the plug on the event I am confident I did everything in my power to give the sport an amazIng opportunity. The upside is that this now allows me to focus on todays historic land use summit and our inaugural RallyVenture event with my full attention. I will also now have the opportunity to enjoy our industry parties and trail rides. Lastly no matter how stressful this might have been it is far easier to process than what many of my family and friends have faced when fighting cancer or other life threatening illness. I am blessed to have such great friends and family that did everything possible to try and find enough drivers to put on a show. At the end of the day we tried to offer another perspective on ultra four racing and could not get it done. Perhaps this is fates way of telling me to stay focused on other things in my life and leave the past on the path it has chosen.
