There is no good in itself, to find somewhere. There is no pure land to look outside ourselves. There seems to be even lighting without struggle against the darkness. It is a particular principle, perhaps difficult to understand, but essential to be able to experience first hand the teachings of Buddhism. Good and evil coexist in life. Do not: here the good and evil there. But both here and now. Indissolubly united, forming part of the same reality. It is like the Buddha and the common mortal. At least for the Nichiren Buddhism and the Lotus Sutra. It is a common mortal who manifests its enlightened nature, winning on his own illusions and darkness. That does not clear, it does not disappear, does not die, because it is part of us as a finger or an eye, a foot. As the blood that supplies the body. You can not eliminate the darkness. But fight it, yes, it should. Winning trends, thoughts which have outraged the life, attachments, stupidity. Winning the illusion of being poor and helpless, needy and weak, fight the look of anger or misery, envy or resentment, with which we look at others.
