There is no one right way to eat for everyone. We are all - TopicsExpress

There is no one right way to eat for everyone. We are all different and what works for one person may not work for the next. I sometimes converse with vegans; many who think that people should eliminate all animal foods. They (not all) frequently say that I must be corrupt and be sponsored by the meat and dairy industry, or that Im simply misinformed and need to become more educated on the issue as a whole. I have nothing against vegans or vegetarians. If you want to eat in this way for whatever reason and you are feeling good and improving your health, then great! Keep on doing what youre doing. Now, I do have a serious problem when supporters of the vegan diet use lies and fear mongering tactics to try and convince everyone else to eat in the same way. At the end of the day, the optimal diet for any one person depends on a lot of things; including age, gender, activity levels, current metabolic health, food culture and personal preference. Vegan diets may be appropriate for some people, not others. I dont know how anyone expects the entire globe to become vegan. Thats just unrealistic and not going to happen. People are going to continue to consume meat as we have for thousands or millions of years. There may be ethical or religious reasons not to eat animals…I get it. But there is no scientifically valid health reason to completely eliminate animal foods
