There is no question that the police officers of today are not trained well enough to cope with their jobs. They are not screened well enough to begin with they are excessively trigger happy because they are so scared and they don’t seem to understand the PRIME DIRECTIVE that you cannot use more force than is being used against you. How can you then shoot an unarmed person. How can you EVER shoot an unarmed dog. There are many flaws, the screening process has to be sufficiently astringent to weed out the both bullies and the paranoids. However the screening process is liberally biased to include minorities rather than the best cop. They are then pushed thru training way too fast and put on the street way too soon. When they shoot and kill someone or a helpless dog they get a slap on the wrist. Yet when a citizen shoots a criminal that is trying to kill them they are frequently put on trial for murder.
