There is no reason deeply held religious beliefs (as if the word deeply makes it more agreeable than just religious beliefs) can be barred from any number of discriminatory or law-breaking ideas. Beliefs are beliefs. But, elevating the patchwork and arbitrary notions of the individual or collective, when they disagree with the rule of law, even societys sense of justice, is a dangerous precedent and should be fought against, vehemently.
