There is no room for complacency for oppositions especially for Islamic parties in BD. AL is a vicious anti Islamic party and their onslaughts against the Islamic political parties are from many fronts i.e. cultural, educational, religious, emotional, political, communal, diplomatic and above all intellectual. It has managed to establish itself internationally as a party of curtailing Islamic fundamentalism. The recent Upozila Election success by the Jamat is another bonus point for them. They will argue with the Western world that only AL can prevent Jamat and Hefazat from gaining political momentum and ultimate power sharing with BNP. I am speculating a full five years term of illegal, unconstitutional AL government. There will not be any meaningful dialogue between AL and BNP. There will not be any consequential pressure from the international community against this government. BNP has lost its momentum and most unlikely will be able to overcome the quandaries soon. What is the best way forward – must be vigilant against AL conspiracy – highlight the plights of the victim of AL injustices, use all means including print, electronic and social media to mobilize public opinion against this vicious anti Islamic administration.
