There is no such thing as a life coach calling for a preacher. - TopicsExpress

There is no such thing as a life coach calling for a preacher. These are titles based on secular psychology and have no place in the ministry of a preacher. I get irritated when I see some of these preachers who are now adding to their bio life coach when in reality it is another name for Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). NLP is a form of new age techniques, cloaked under the guise of psychotherapy. NLP was proposed in 1973 by Richard Bandler and John Grinder who adopted their theory by incorporating eastern mysticism and new age beliefs as its main component. So why would some of todays popular preachers (including a certain cross preacher) now be using the term life coach? Because they have bought into the belief of modern psychology and are pulling people away from the cross as the only necessary means for a lasting long life. Here is the ONLY requirement for the preacher, it was good enough for Paul, Peter and the rest of the disciples and it should be good enough for us today (without the need of a life coach) “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, Luke 4:18
